It's easy to be overwhelmed When you're not sure what to do So here's a few tips meant to make Recycling easier for you!
Want to get the 4-1-1 on recycling so you can start the year off green by treating the environment right? Here's some simple info on the what, where and how of recycling in your home.
Recycle Containers - While fancy recycling containers with multiple compartments that can crush cans and make julienne fries might be nice, they're not a financial possibility for many of us. However, a simple box, extra plastic trash can or even a few paper bags in the corner of your kitchen or garage is really all you need to sort and hold your recyclables.
Recyclable Items - Virtually all newspapers, magazines, phone books, white paper, junk mail, cardboard, cereal boxes, glass, aluminum and tin cans are recyclable. As for plastics, just turn the bottle or jug upside down to look at the number. Most communities accept #1 and #2 plastics, and many recycling centers recycle several other numbers as well.
Recycling Locations - If you're not lucky enough to have a truck pick up your bins, there are still many options. Drop off your bottles and cans at a smaller kiosk for some extra cash, or sort cardboard, tin cans and even electronics at full-on recycling center locations.
