It's time to start celebrating Earth Day And all of our fantastic eco-friendly ways A 40th anniversary is something to share With no better way than showing you care.
Eco-Friendly Celebrations
It's time to start celebrating forty years of personal commitments to sustainability in order to help make our carbon footprint a little smaller. Use Earth Day as an excuse to add a new green routine to your everyday lifestyle!
- Create a campaign in your neighborhood (or home) to make some substantial green changes. Form a neighborhood committee to plant extra trees and plants around the community. Or start composting at home and try to start a small vegetable patch with the family.
- Go for a hike and take some time to enjoy the natural beauty that normally gets overlooked in our busy schedules. In celebration of Earth Day, entrance fees to all 392 National Parks will be waived from April 17-25, making it irresistible to take a trip out to your closest National Park. A number of parks will even have special activities for kids set up April 24th, which is National Junior Ranger Day!
- Get passionate about your favorite green causes. Whether you head to the ocean (or lake) for a beach cleanup or organize a summer carpool schedule, make being green a priority this week. One of the most important reasons to go green is to better the world around us and there's no easier way to do that then by taking steps to make the change ourselves.
