As our nation's water resources continue to be depleted, it is imperative that we find ways to conserve water. One of the major culprits has continued to be the water associated with lawn care. Many states and local utility programs across the country are instituting water conservation rebate programs. Check for rebates in your area!

• Programs Popping Up Everywhere - In the U.S., regions affected by water scarcity and drought are creating programs that offer rebates and even cash for replacing lawns with drought tolerant plants and other types of landscaping.
• Nevada - The Water Smart Landscape program gives rebates for converting grass to desert landscaping. Las Vegas has already removed more than 125 million square feet of grass, saving 7 billion gallons of water per year.
• Arizona - The Landscape Rebate Program offers rebates for front yard and backyard conversions of grass to desert landscaping or for installing new desert landscaping. You can receive a rebate of up to $500 for the full conversion.
• California - There are many statewide programs that offer rebates/incentives for different water conservation efforts. For example, if a resident has 200 to 2,000 square feet of living lawn, the Los Angeles DWP is offering to pay for its removal.
